What is Christmas without sugar cookies! We made these on a family home evening night. The kids love to make them, but don't really love to eat them. The problem is that there are plenty at home while they are at school for me to snack on!

The gang letting their creative talents show!
We were struck with a blizzard like storm about a week ago. There were a few times when we couldn't even see the trees which you can see in this picture. The wind sure blew and truly made each of us grateful for a warm house and a mug of hot chocolate.
The first Saturday of every December starts off the holiday season with Santa arriving at the Social Hall by fire engine. He takes all the kids orders, gives them a bag of goodies, and loads them up with cookies and hot chocolate before they head home. Later on in the day is the Chirstmas home show to raise money for Sub-for Santa.
Love those programs! I always get choked up. I hope someday we get to watch our grandchildren perform. Love the winter picture. I am so pleased that we are not the only ones that have such pretty pictures. Ditto on the warm house and hot chocolate!
