Garrett - Random

Garrett showing off his awesome omelet making skills!

Jeff and I saw this semi on the freeway one day.  Had to take a shot just for Garrett!

Beautiful Monarch

Jeff brought this in from the field in the fall - The kids loved taking a good, close look!

Leighton Busy Bug

Walked into the family room one day to find Leighton playing like this.  Hahaha.  I think this is the perfect blackmail photo!

Grandma Schmutz gave Leighton a collection of pens - permanent.  She's been really good about just keeping them on the paper, but found this great piece of art on the fridge one day.  The remedy (thanks to facebook)?  Bug repellant!

While out voting in November, we saw Life Flight flying overhead.  We headed over to the hospital, talked with the pilot briefly and watched them take off!

Joseph!

This year's High School play was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat!
Not only is this a great play - it's one of McKenna's favorites and has been since she was 6!  We even took her to it at Kingsbury Hall when she was 7.  And when we moved to Panguitch and redid the floor in our kitchen she wrote with a marker "I LOVE DONNY OSMOND!" right where we stand when we cook at the stove.  A constant reminder underfoot how much she loves this play!
When the announcement came that this would be this year's play - she knew in her heart of hearts that she was destined to be the narrator!  With the drama department growing this year - they made the narrator into 3 parts and these three girls played the narrator: Lauren Smith, McKenna and Brenna Mooney.

Jacob and his sons:

Go go go go!

Pharaoh's in the house!

On another night these three made the narrative ensemble: Lauren Smith, McKenna and Rebecca Holbrook.

Raise your beret - to those Canaan days.

Really since we first became fans of this play I have loved the scriptural story.  It is an amazing story of faith, forgiveness and standing for who you are.  Great way to top off McKenna's high school acting career!

Halloween 2012

Each month a grade will put on an assembly for the school.  This year, the 2nd grade was in October.  Lucky Addison!

They had a lot of fun sing about making witch's brew, but even more fun watching the witch!

And once again, the annual Halloween parade around the block!

Garrett had two costumes this year as he dress up - Philippine Man....
And Taylor Lautner!  The girls in town call him Garrett Lautner :)

And my little fairy!

Alas, I don't have any pics of the other kids, I had to work that night and Jeff took them trick or treating, and guess it wasn't first on his list!  They did come to work and trick or treated to all the different areas and down in long term care.  Should have gotten some pics at work!  Oh well.  I think they enjoyed it and they definitely collected enough candy to last several months!
