Wicked

This year Jeff and I celebrated our 20th year anniversary!  Jeff took me to Wicked in Las Vegas!  To say the least, McKenna was a little miffed that we didn't take her - she loves the music, but alas, no invite was included for her! We stayed at a resort on Lake Las Vegas about 1/2 hour away from downtown Las Vegas which was just great with me, a little more quiet and it was a beautiful place!

On our way to the play we saw this double decker bus.  Had to take a pic just for the kids!

Then the next day we saw this double decker bus! Ha ha!

One of the best things about being away from home?  Getting to find great places to eat and not having to do the dishes!  Look at my stuffed french toast and Jeff's omelet!  Yum!  Couldn't finish it, and couldn't even take home the left-overs, but ohhh it was good!

The next day we decided to go to Hoover Dam.

I forgot my camera so I took this pic with my phone and stitched the pics together.  That's why it's a little loppy on the edges.

Had to get a picture of these winged statues for Garrett.  He's a Percy Jackson series fan and one of the books has a battle at Hoover Dam where these statues come to life!

Quite a big bathtub ring!

I had Jeff drive me across the bridge so I could take a couple of pics and just look at the view!  NONE!!!  Bummer!  Not impressed!

After Hoover Dam we drove into Vegas to do a little sight seeing.  Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay:

Walking the Strip:

Visiting the M&M Factory!  The kids loved the samples we brought home!

Saw this plaque in one of the casino gift shops - loved it and showed the kids the pic when we got home!

The strip at night.  It doesn't seem as bright as when I was a kid.  Then I realized there aren't as many bulbs anymore - it's all LED now.  Kind of a let down - just not the same!

Had to pick up a pin at the Coke shop!

Ate some pretty good food again at Hard Rock!
All in all it was a great weekend.  Kids kept the house from burning down and we actually came back to a fairly clean house!  Wicked was incredible and it was just a great weekend spending it with Jeff.  Can't believe its been 20 years!  A lot has happened and our lives have changed so much!  In 20 more years - we will have raised all our kids, they will be raising their own families, and we will be snuggling with some grandchildren!  Looking forward to it!
