Fall Canning

After a couple of days at mom's, we put up over 70 jars of applesauce and around 30 jars of grape juice. Not bad! We split the goods and both were able to stock our shelves. I love the taste of homemade applesauce and grape juice. The apples all came from Moccasin and the grapes were grown in Kanab at mom and dad's.

Thank goodness for friends. Garrett's friend Jack helped us with the grape juice and a couple of weeks later McKenna's friend Baylee helped us with the applesauce. I wonder if they will ever want to go to Grandma's with us again. We worked them both pretty hard! We were very grateful for the extra hands and Grandpa was grateful that Jack was so proficient on his new riding lawn mower!
Now to make some jelly from the juice! That will have to wait for another day!
